How do I change the codec and quality?

Select the channel

Connect to the server and select the channel whose audio settings you want to change.

Edit the channel

Open the context menu with a right click and choose the channel edit option. If it is missing, your group needs the relevant permission.

Choose a codec

Choose one of the codecs offered by the server in the audio section. A voice codec suits normal conversations. A music codec can suit music channels.

Set the quality level

Increase the quality only as far as the use case requires. A higher level improves transmission but also increases the bandwidth used by each connected person.

Save and test together

Save the channel and run a short voice test with several participants. Adjust the quality level again if needed.

Use custom audio settings on your own server

Rent the voice server by the number of slots your group needs.
