Activate a TS3 Privilege Key
Activate a TS3 privilege key to unlock the first server admin in the TeamSpeak 3 client, then check that the expected permissions are active.
What do you need for activation?
A privilege key is redeemed once in the TeamSpeak 3 client.
Server address
Hostname or IP address, including the port if required
Privilege key
The key supplied in the customer portal
Admin access
How do I activate the TS3 privilege key?
Connect to the new server
Open the connection dialog in the TeamSpeak 3 client. Enter the server address and nickname, then connect.
Open the privilege key dialog
Open the permissions menu and choose the option for using a privilege key. Its exact label depends on the language selected in your client.
Paste the key
Copy the complete key from the customer portal into the field. Make sure there are no extra spaces at the beginning or end.
Confirm activation
Confirm the dialog. The client assigns your current identity to the intended server group.
Check the admin permissions
Open a channel or group management dialog. If the management options are available, the key was redeemed successfully.
